Field Trip and Online Resources for U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum

Headed down to D.C. today for our annual trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This is part of a project -- which also involves reading first-hand accounts and meeting with survivors -- that our Seniors do in their last semester at school.

For those of you who have not had the opportunity to visit, here are the current online exhibitions; they comprise a remarkable digital resource for the study of the Holocaust and the War.

  1. Here's and addition to the Paperless Classroom.

I am a children's author with a new website for kids called MEET ME AT THE CORNER (www.meetmeatthecorner.org), a series of free kid-friendly video podcasts for kids.

Geared to children ages 7-12, MeetMeAtTheCorner.org is a dynamic, interactive site, which encourages individual expression and participation through video submissions from children worldwide. Through these video pod casts, the site creates a community of children who learn the art of self-expression and storytelling through video. The site is free of charge.

MeetMeAtTheCorner.org currently offers more than 40 three- to four- minute episodes. Recent additions include interviews with famous artists and writers, trips to a variety of New York City historic and cultural landmarks, and introductions to unusual hobbies. New ìtripsî are added every two weeks.

I thought your readers might enjoy current episode featuring Natalia Paruz who plays the musical saw at the New York Library of the Performing Arts.

Would you review our site and pass it on to your readers?

    Thank you,
