From the Archive: Goin' Mobile

Here's a post from my stint a while back guest-blogging at Change.org.

It's a piece titled 'Goin Mobile' and it's got a little bit to do with experiential learning and a little bit to do with mobile computing.

It's got a lot to do with homebases of learning.

  1. This was a good post... It made me think about whether or not we were going to have bricks-and-mortar classrooms in the future.

Today during our faculty meeting, we were talking about our school's mission statement, and a prominent administrator asked us to think about whether our mission statement would still be important in a hundred years.

A little old lady seated next to me, an arthritic math teacher with a body frailer than the average songbird leaned over to me and said, in her politest, nicest voice, "If we still have physical classrooms in a hundred years, I'll be disappointed."
